An accountant by profession, he has more than 40 years of experience in business management, strategic consulting, mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance and sales strategy development. Rodney is a specialist in valuations, tax and estate planning. Rodney Rottanburg is one of the founders of Mirod Capital formally Intelleca, a company formed to incubate start ups with a view to long term growth, he joined in 1998 and has been instrumental in providing the infrastructure for wealth creation within the company. Rodney was appointed as Executive Director of Amanzi Health Administrators in 2000 and African Life Health (ALH) in 2003 and has been actively involved in the healthcare industry since 1999.

After completing his Bachelors Degree he founded and chaired Commercial and Industrial Management Consultants (Pty) Ltd (CIMC), a company focused on incubating start-up ventures and consulting to various niche industries. In 1990 CIMC merged with the consulting company of Horwath. As the senior executive of the company and partner of the practice he helped grow this management consultancy and outsourcing facility into a material division within the practice. His continuing professional education includes advanced computing, time management, strategic planning, financial modelling, fringe benefits, trusts and international tax planning.
